Baltic Snowshoes are completely hand made at the snowshoe workshop in rural Gulbene, Latvia. The various techniques applied to make these snowshoes have been developed locally on the intellectual foundation borrowed from the North american Indians. Particularly, it is the Ojibwa snowshoe design that serves as the point of reference for the tips and curves of the Baltic Snowshoes. As such, these snowshoes are created to be durable and functional beyond expectations.
I am also intrducing the Huron, aka classical snowshoes, that unlike Ojibwa design have a rounded tip which makes for a different walking experience and is often preffered by the people simply for its looks.

Each snowshoe comes equipped with unique bindings designed and developed at the Baltic Snowshoe workshop. They are designed with practicality and function in mind. No complicated parts, firm fixation, tighten and un-tighten easily, durable and reliable.
Currently Baltic Snowshoes offer three different sizes for Ojibwa snowshoes: Large, Medium and Kids size. And One size Huron snowshoes that will suit a medium to semi large snowshoer.
